Once again, I had the pleasure of photographing some fabulous and DELICIOUS goodies from Ginny’s Tarts & Treats (located in Rhode Island, but available in other surrounding states as well). Accompanying her were her father, Dave, and husband Stephen..who also help with the business. It was great to meet them again and we had a lot of fun!

Ginny’s Tarts and Treats provides a variety of goodies for any occasion and they truly make beautiful gifts for your loved ones.  These are only a few samples of the occasions that you can buy for but really….why wait for a holiday or a special occasion to let that loved one know how special they are to you?  Surprise them with something SWEET and you’ll truly make their day!   😉

Here are a few samples of what she offers. For more information, please visit http://www.tartsandtreats.com :

Last year, I started the tradition of posting my top favorite client images of the year. I think it’s fun to reminisce and also, to see how my photography grows with each passing year.

I was able to narrow it down to 10 images last year but this year…it was a LOT tougher. So I narrowed it down to my top 20. I knew this year was SUPER busy but after going thru all of my sessions and weddings, I realized HOW busy it was. And for that…I truly am thankful to have such fantastic clients, friends and to share what I love to do as a profession.

I really had a hard time even narrowing it down to 20 but I tried to remember each time I was editing each session or wedding when that 1 or 2 images really jumped out at me; and that is how I chose. So even if you aren’t on this list, please know that I cherish each and every one of you, your family and the moments I captured for you to always remember. 🙂

Here are my top 20 images of 2009:

Holiday Craft Fair in Smithfield, RI this Saturday! Come on by as there will be a TON of businesses selling their services and products! The holidays are right around the corner. Don’t wait until last minute! 🙂

The other day, I had the priviledge to photograph some products by Ginny Marsella, owner of Ginny’s Tarts & Treats. I’ve known Ginny for a couple of years now, as she is also a PHENOMENAL massage therapist and I’d highly recommend her to anyone who needs one! 😉

I also had the YUMMY experience to sample many of her creations and they are FABULOUS! To be honest, I am not one for white chocolate, but one of my favorites is the white chocolate covered potato chips. They are awesome!! So you see, even if you prefer one chocolate over the other, you have GOT to try both. Ginny’s Candied Apples are to DIE for and there are so many options for those.

I could go on and on about her products but I would definitely recommend contacting Ginny if you ever need a wonderful gift with a personal touch. Think Holidays, Weddings, Showers, Birthdays, Birthday Favors, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Thinking of You, etc etc. The possibilities are endless! Her website is in the works so I will add that once it’s up and running. So for now, if you’d like to contact Ginny, you’re more than welcome to call her at 401-573-2910.

Here are a few of my faves from the product session:

Now that it’s November, we may want to try not to think about it…but yes, holidays are right around the corner! *GASP!*  So instead of waiting until it’s too close to Thanksgiving or Christmas where you’re panicking about what to buy that special someone, I’m promoting a “Black Friday” Monthly Sale.  Yes, for the entire month of November!

This will be a Collaboration Favorites Album. You, as the client, may choose up to 10 portraits from a past photo session (or wedding) in then I, as the photographer, will choose the remaining photos to complete the album.  You will receive a 8×8 photo book album with 20 sides (10 pgs, double-sided) that includes a hard cover on the book with a photo directly on it.  This album would make a BEAUTIFUL gift for parents, grandparents, siblings  or any loved one at the holidays.  But who are we kidding, it’s perfect to display on your mantle or coffee table as well.  For those bridal couples that didn’t choose the option for a parent album, you could use this to surprise them as well! The original cost of these photo books is $150 but up until November 30th, all orders placed before then will receive them at $75 plus RI sales tax.  If you order more than one copy, you’ll receive 10% off the balance!  For those that may have a portrait session from now until the end of November, you are more than welcome to “lock in” this offer by adding it to your session fee.

So for those that may not have purchased prints from past sessions yet or if you want to get a head start on your holiday shopping, just send me a message to snag this great offer! 🙂

This is a lil’ tradition that I do each year for each son so we can look back and see what they love to do:

On this day, 3 years ago, our youngest son, Zachary John was born. I remember Justin saying how we were going to the hospital to “get a baby” and he was just the proudest big brother I have ever seen. I just can’t believe how quickly the time has gone by and how big he is now.

Everyone laughs because they say he is a “Mini Me” of myself and I have to agree. He looks like me and definitely has my stubborness attitude. I have yet to figure out if that’s a good thing or bad thing. haha 😉

He is such a sweetheart and loves to tease you every chance he gets. He’s an animal lover especially of dogs and kitties, he’s still riding this scoot & ride radio flyer bike (although sad to say he’s outgrown it). But don’t tell him that as he’ll get mad and show you otherwise that he CAN ride it. lol

He’ll spend all day outside, jumping in puddles, digging in dirt and playing every sport you can think of and surprisingly, he’s great at them! I mean, he can REALLY hit the ball and play soccer well. Crazy….
He loves to play with bugs and then “put back home” so the bug can go back to his family.

Zack’s obsessed with superheros and loves every single one. He’ll pretend UR a “bad buy” (bad guy) and will take you to jail too. haha He cracks me up.

Anyways, Zachary, thank you for being such a sweetheart, my lil’ man. Mommy, Daddy and Justin love you! Happy 3rd Birthday!

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing Jordan’s Sweet 16 party at a local restaurant in Providence called “Pearl”. I’ve never been there but what a fantastic restaurant! Very modern, dark and sheek. Jordan’s mom, Lisa, could not have put on a better party, in my opinion. There were a ton a family and friends there for the “Hollywood Red Carpet” theme and it was great to hear a bunch of them sing karaoke!

Here are a few of my faves from that night. Hope you enjoy them!

On this day, 2 yrs ago…our second son, Zachary John was born.  Of course the little bugger didn’t want to arrive on time, so I was induced but boy, it was great because it was only 1 hr and 39 min of labor so I can’t complain. LOL

I can’t believe how much time has flown!  I remember how excited JJ was to be a big brother.  How we went to the hospital to “get” a baby. LOL  He was the proudest big brother I have ever seen.  He still is…unless Zack steals a toy he wants…haha.  Zachary is so big now.  He says quite a few words, but of course he’s got his momma’s stubborness and only says them when he wants too because if you ask him too, sometimes he’ll get that gleam in his eye and just laugh at you.

If you ask him what color things are he’ll just laugh and just say ‘blue’ to everything.  He’s obsessed with doggies, but loves animals of every kind.  He would spend all day outdoors riding his favorite scoot & ride radio flyer bike and search for bugs and dig in the dirt.  If he sees a puddle from the rain, he’ll splash, sit and lay in it.  By the time he’s done, no longer will there be a puddle. LOL

He loves to tell you what sounds animals say.  And I bribe him to do it just to see the faces he makes to say them because it makes us laugh.  I love asking him to ‘show me those lips’ because he puckers his lips like fishy lips to give you a kiss and gives you eskimo kisses which puts him into fits of giggles, which is contagious!  He looks up to his big brother, JJ and wants to do everything he does and I just love watching everything they do together.

It’s so funny because you tell Zachary it’s his birthday today and he throws his arms in the air and in a high pitched voice and says “yay!”. LOL

So, my love….looking back on how much you’ve grown on the past 2 yrs has made me realize that it’s all the little things in life that really count each and every day.  Sometimes in our daily lives we get so busy that we truly forget that.  Thank you for bringing so much joy and love to our family!  We love you very much!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Zachary!
