Yesterday, was a beautiful day FILLED with laughter!   I’ve known Tim & Lynn for a few years now and the two of them are always smiling, laughing and goofing around with everyone they know.  The two of them are such wonderful individuals and only become stronger when they are together.

We had a lovely day and even though the ceremony was rained out…the site moved everything indoors, formals had already been taken outside, everything was timed perfectly.  Lynn & Tim, words cannot describe how truly honored I was to be a part of your wedding day, capturing all the special moments between you, your family and friends.  Everyone kept saying how great your wedding was and how amazing the two of you are.  And I couldn’t agree more.

I’ll post still photos later this week but wanted to get a sneak peek on the blog for ya before you went on your honeymoon.  Have a fabulous time in Vegas! 😀

Every day, my life is consumed by my two greatest passions:  Family and Photography.  I truly believe that I have the best job in the world.  Being a mother, allows me to view the world differently.  You learn to cherish those small moments in a child’s life that are so EXCITING to experience, yet it gives me the greatest feeling to be able to capture those moments for myself and for the families around me.

Being a wife, reminds me of all the details you have to think of to plan a wedding.  All those emotions and how the smallest moments can make a difference on one of the most important days of your life.  Being able to be a part of your day, capturing those moments that you may not even realize are happening…is what my love for photography is all about.  A playful moment like the flowergirl playing Tag-You’re-It!, the bride and groom sharing a secret look, to the tear that may run down the cheek of the couples’ parents.  THOSE are the moments that you will look back on for the rest of your life and smile to yourself because you will be able to relive that loving feeling you felt on that exact day.

Photography is a passion of mine.  Pieces of art that I cannot wait to pass on to you.  🙂

Once again, I had the pleasure of photographing some fabulous and DELICIOUS goodies from Ginny’s Tarts & Treats (located in Rhode Island, but available in other surrounding states as well). Accompanying her were her father, Dave, and husband Stephen..who also help with the business. It was great to meet them again and we had a lot of fun!

Ginny’s Tarts and Treats provides a variety of goodies for any occasion and they truly make beautiful gifts for your loved ones.  These are only a few samples of the occasions that you can buy for but really….why wait for a holiday or a special occasion to let that loved one know how special they are to you?  Surprise them with something SWEET and you’ll truly make their day!   😉

Here are a few samples of what she offers. For more information, please visit http://www.tartsandtreats.com :

So the sun has set, it’s past dinner time and what do we do on this snowy night??? Do a quick photo session of the boys, of course! LOL Zack lasted about 5 minutes, if that…but we got some cute ones. They had a lot of fun….no real editing done besides quick conversions to these as they are just for fun. 😉 Thought I’d share…

Justin acting tough.

Don’t Mess With Me!

The Real Me 😉

There were a few laughs….

Ok ok…a LOT of laughs!

Brotherly Love.

This morning, I went to a boudoir workshop and wow, did we have a BLAST!  Shannon and Amanda were PHENOMENAL to work with! I’ve photographed a few boudoir sessions and I have to say that besides weddings, they are definitely my fave to do. I cannot wait to do more. 😉

Yes, I know there are a TON but I couldn’t help but post my faves…bare with me. haha

Gotta love the shoes….

Last night, we had one of our nieces and nephews over so I thought it would be fun to take some photos of them.  Fun for me, some updated photos for their mom (hubby’s sister) and an excuse for Alyssa to model (and torture for Brandon, as boys their age usually hate having their photos taken. HAHA).  I bribed them with a sleepover though, so they agreed very quickly! 😉

Alyssa is your typical 10 yr old girl who loves to do anything girly.  Shop, dress up, figure skate, gymnastics, you name it!  Brandon is a musician…mostly a drummer but also plays the guitar.  He also is one of the youngest to be accepted into the Rhode Island Phil Harmonic (as he’s been a member of that for a few years now).  He’s amazing at the drums.

Here are a few of my faves (and of course, I threw in one photo of my boys too):

And my lil’ monkeys:

No matter what holiday you celebrate, may you spend it with those that you love and enjoy every minute of the time you are together!

Christmas is filled with special joys,
And the very best of all
Is contemplating those dear to us,
And the memories we recall.

We often think at Christmas time
Of people, affectionately,
And we realize how blessed we are
To have them in our family.

Poem By Joanna Fuchs

Last year, I started the tradition of posting my top favorite client images of the year. I think it’s fun to reminisce and also, to see how my photography grows with each passing year.

I was able to narrow it down to 10 images last year but this year…it was a LOT tougher. So I narrowed it down to my top 20. I knew this year was SUPER busy but after going thru all of my sessions and weddings, I realized HOW busy it was. And for that…I truly am thankful to have such fantastic clients, friends and to share what I love to do as a profession.

I really had a hard time even narrowing it down to 20 but I tried to remember each time I was editing each session or wedding when that 1 or 2 images really jumped out at me; and that is how I chose. So even if you aren’t on this list, please know that I cherish each and every one of you, your family and the moments I captured for you to always remember. 🙂

Here are my top 20 images of 2009:

Last night, I attended a Holiday Party for a photography group that I belong to and we had the pleasure of working with Tyson, a new model from the MM site. He was awesome to work with!  Hopefully we’ll all work with him again for the bodypainting class coming up in Jan and in future workshops.

I like the way these turned out but I’d love to get him out of the studio and do an on-location session. These are a little “Senior Portrait” looking. Which isn’t a bad thing but ya know what I’m saying. haha

Here are a few from last night:

I photographed a session yesterday for a friend of mine. Her sons, Lucas and Liam are just adorable and we had so much fun….even if Liam didn’t smile much (I think he knew what we were trying to do, the lil’ bugger! HAHA). But I hope they had as much fun as I did….here are a bunch of my faves from the session:
