I simply cannot believe that the end of 2010 is right around the corner!  It’s been such an amazing year for both my business and family life.  Portraits have been non-stop all year long, my busiest year yet for portraits.  It was a nice change since I didn’t photograph as many weddings this year, due to being pregnant with our 3rd son.  Our son, Tyler, was born in October and the pregnancy journey with him was a miracle in itself.   I definitely have a lot to be thankful for.

Anyways, each year, I post my favorite photos that I’ve taken throughout the year but this year, I’m going to change it up a bit and continue this “tradition” to help Pay It Forward to my fabulous clients and their families!  Please remember that I’ve had dozens of portrait sessions and multiple weddings to photograph.  If for some reason your session or wedding didn’t make the “cut”, please don’t take it personally.  I honestly love each and every one of you and I cannot wait to see you again in a future session!  I spent days narrowing down to the final 15 images and even then, that was hard!

From now until December 31st, I will be taking votes as to who is the “Viewers Choice”.  Vote on your favorite image simply by commenting on this post (Facebook comments won’t be counted) as to what the image number is and of course, if you want to comment on the image itself, I’m sure the person who the image was photographed for, would love to hear why you chose their image! 🙂

If you want a chance to vote twice, feel free to join my photography page on Facebook by visiting this link:  http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Teresa-Sweet-Photography/35033996945 and then comment again listing the number of the image you want AND that you joined the photography page.

Two votes are all that will be counted and to make it fair, IP addresses will be tracked to make sure everything is legit.  Feel free to share this contest with friends, family, post to your Facebook page, tweet it, whatever you’d like to spread the word to help you win!

Now what do you win???  The “Grand Prize” winner will receive an 11×14 Float Wrap of the image I chose to put in this contest and $25 off their session fee the next time they book.  There will also be a couple of “runner-up” prizes but keeping with the holiday spirit, let’s keep it a surprise!  I promise it will be worth it and you’ll LOVE it!

Are you ready?!  Spread the word and get to voting!

I had the honor of meeting Kristen through one of my past brides, as she was in the bridal party.  We’ve stayed in contact since the wedding and it’s great to get to know her better.  I was so excited to hear when she was pregnant and even moreso to hear that she was having a girl!  (Oh…BTW…Kristen is best friends with my bride, Jeana…and it so happens that Jeana is expecting a little girl in Feb.  So their daughters can grow up to be best friends as well.  Love the idea of that for the two of you)!

Meet Ella Jean…she is 2 weeks old and my goodness, she was an absolute GEM to photograph!  Here are a few of my favorites from today (I know, how’s that for a quick sneak peek?!).  I am THAT excited about these photos!

Kristen, ENJOY these portraits of your lil’ princess!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing 3 beautiful sisters.  I have to say THANK YOU for braving the cold weather and wind for the quick session.  I know your mom & dad will be thrilled and maybe will take you up on that offer of extra Christmas presents for doing this for them! haha 😉

Here’s a couple for you to view:

Every year, I tend to hold some type of Black Friday or Holiday Sale.  Last year, it was on Photo Books….this year, I want to do something BIGGER and BETTER!  I figured….why not?!  This year has certainly been eventful and we have been so blessed.  I thought I would offer a couple of FABULOUS deals that would be hard to pass up for the holidays! 😉

First, for TWO DAYS ONLY….yes, this offer will end on THANKSGIVING day….any past client who would like to receive ALL of their edited images on a proof CD (including portrait sessions).  You can purchase a proof CD with a print release form for $250.00.  If you know my terms and conditions, you know this is a HUGE deal so snag it while you can!  With the print form, you may print at any local lab or create photo books online (great for gift giving for the holidays).  Or purchase it for your loved one and create a beautiful SURPRISE gift for them!   Please email with any questions and payment must be made via PayPal by Thanksgiving day.

Now for the next promotion of the week…..just in time for Black Friday & Cyber Monday!  Every year, there’s always those loved ones that you think to yourself “what in the world am I going to by them”?!  A great solution is a gift certificate!!  To continue the promotion that I offered this past weekend at the vendor fair, until Monday night @ midnight, you can purchase a gift certificate in the minimum amount of $100.00 and receive another gift certificate free!* (for up to 4 subjects…small fee for each additional person).

LAST but not least, for those that take advantage of these great promotions, will be entered in a FABULOUS giveaway!  What does it include….well, it’s the holidays and the season for giving….so it must remain a surprise!  But I assure you, it will be worth it and you’ll love it!  So share this with friends and family and Happy Holidays!

Today, I photographed my niece & nephews for Christmas and I have to say, they were fantastic!  We all had a lot of fun!  I photographed my boys as well but those will have to wait as a few of those portraits will be on our Christmas card and that will be a surprise. 🙂  Here’s a quick peek at a few of my faves:

Brandon & Ava

And Nathaniel, Nicholas & Ian:

I’ll post a few more but for now, I thought I’d share a couple of quick photos of my three boys I took over the past weekend.  It was another crazy busy weekend filled with pumpkins, scarecrow making, feeding farm animals, a newborn session, a Halloween party, last soccer game for Justin and the list goes on. 🙂

So after the newborn session was done, I had to sneak a few of my boys in with some fall foliage.

As many of you know, the last 9 months have been…eventful, to say the least.  Back in February, we found out that we were expecting our 3rd child and we all were completely ecstatic!  I don’t know who was more excited, us as parents or the boys to have a sibling soon.

Here’s a quick recap of the last 9 months:  Approximately 6 wks into the pregnancy, I started to miscarry.  It’s something a woman never hopes to experience but always has that fear that it may happen.  I was devastated on the inside but tried so hard to be hopeful and positive on the outside.  They say things always happen for a reason and while I know that’s true, I hate those clichés.  It was at my follow-up ultrasound appointment at my OB’s office (you know, the one that makes sure everything is cleared out and they can tell you when you can start trying again), that I found out that there was a heartbeat.  I had just come to terms that there was no baby so you can imagine the shock when the little peanut survived.  So while I did miscarry, they said it may have been a twin.  Thinking back on it, it’s sad to think that maybe there could have been another blessing with Tyler but we are so blessed and so thankful that he survived.

Now, at the 18 wk ultrasound, we had another scare.  There were a few “red flags” that pointed towards him having Downs Syndrome.  But luckily, we decided to have an amniocentesis done and weeks later, it was confirmed that he was healthy.  After what we dealt with for the first half of the pregnancy, you can imagine our relief when we heard that!  Obviously, we would have loved him no matter what but to know that he was healthy and wouldn’t have that challenge to face was comforting.  The only thing that lil’ Tyler will face and conquer is clubbed feet (which, for those of you who aren’t familiar with, is the feet are turned in…or out in some cases) and will have to have casting and possibly a brace after that.  If that’s his only challenge in life…all I have to say is “Bring It On”.  We’ll take it.  And I have to say, his feet actually aren’t as bad as the ultrasound tech thought.  And it may sound bad, but I adore his feet.  I kiss them every chance I get. 🙂

So….the due date was supposed to be October 24th and while I was late with our first two sons, I wasn’t expecting any differently…although I did hope every day that I would go early.  Another prayer was answered on October 7th.  😉  I arrived at Women & Infants at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon and Tyler Jack was welcomed into the world at 5:11pm.  He weighed 6 lbs and was 19 inches long.  He was absolutely perfect.

It’s absolutely amazing how one baby can change your life, for the better…if that’s even possible.  I could not imagine our lives now without lil’ Tyler.  Justin and Zachary have been wonderful and such loving big brothers.  They are the proudest I have ever seen.  While I cannot wait to see Tyler run around and play with his older brothers when he gets bigger, I want him to stay this size for as long as possible.  The long hours during the night, all the feedings and crying, are so worth it and you cherish it even more when you see how quickly they grow.

It’s hard not to hold Tyler all day long, to watch him sleep and to look at him, telling him stories when he’s awake and he just looks back at you with wide, wondering eyes.  It completely melts my heart and makes me realize how much I love my three boys more and more every day.

Tyler Jack, welcome to the world.  You truly are a fighter.

You are:

A Miracle of Life.

A Miracle of Love. .

The Miracle of You.

We love you!

AND of course, one of all three boys.  Future partners in crime and 3 Muskateers! 😉

At the beginning of this past week, I met Tracey, Wayne and their lil’ man, Austin at Ledgemont Country Club in Seekonk, MA for their engagement session.  This will be their reception venue for their wedding in July 2011.  This country club is beautiful and I can only imagine what the wedding day will look like here!

Anytime my bridal couples have children, I love to incorporate them into the engagement session.  It’s just another GREAT opportunity to have a laid-back family portrait done before the big day.  Tracey & Wayne (and your parents), thank you for having the patience to bring him along.  He was soooo much fun to have there, even if we all got a great workout chasing after him!  I hope he had as much fun as we did! 🙂

I simply cannot WAIT for Tracey & Wayne’s wedding this coming year!  I have so many fun ideas that I know we’re all going to have a BLAST that day!  Here are a few of my favorites from the session.  Enjoy!!
